A pastor might be jailed by an Abuja court after been arraigned for allegedly stealing a Toyota Sienna car belonging to his pastor friend in Kubwa, Abuja. Destiny Okwara who is 26-year old was charged under Sections 342 and 287 of the Penal Code. The prosecutor, Abba Zurumi, told the court that one John Praise, on May 7, reported at the Kubwa police station that the accused entered his compound and stole his Toyota Sienna car valued at N400,000. He said the car was recovered from the accused in Enugu State during police investigation.
When the charges were read to the accused person, he pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 by the judge, Mohammed Marafa, with a reasonable surety who must be resident within the court’s jurisdiction. The case was adjourned to July 29, for hearing. Meanwhile, popular pastor and general oversea of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has commented on the current situation facing the country. Speaking on his verified Facebook page, Pastor Adeboye said what Nigeria is facing is global. He added that children of God who give will not lack in this trouble time.
“Let me tell you the truth, the problems we are facing now in Nigeria is global not just Nigeria alone but the children of God, will grow fat. Those who have been giving can now go and withdraw from their account with God. #GiveLiveEatDie,” he wrote
